[17] For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

* *Law*:

Latin: Lex; Greek: Nomos; Hebrew: Torah

.....It is the framework that structures revelation so that it becomes applicable.

.....It brings order and measure to chaos. It defines the limits.

....It revealed the mystery of God's will, but it did not give the strength to fulfill it.

* *Grace*: Hebrew: Hen (favor) and Hesed (mercy or kindness)

Greek: Charis *////* Latin: Gratia.

 ...it transforms the "Law" (the framework) into a "Relationship" (the gift).

...Grace says, "I give you the strength to do it."

...God gives Himself (Grace).

* *Truth*: Greek: Aletheia *///* Latin: Veritas *///* Hebrew: Emet

...Truth reveals the way, shows us where to go.

💥Thank you, Lord Jesus.

You came to reveal to us that You Are the truth, the way, and the life.

Everything is in You.

It's true that the law was given to provide a framework for us, to help us follow Your instructions, to prevent us from sinning against You, against others, and against ourselves, but it doesn't give us the ability to put it into practice.

 But You, Lord Jesus, took upon Yourself our inability to apply the law and gave us the ability to apply it in Your love, in Your power.

💥Through Your Spirit within us, we can resist sin, obey God's instructions, and live a glorious life.

💥❤️‍🔥Looking to You, the way, the truth, and the life, we know where we are going and we are at peace with the path to take as well as the destination.
