[16] And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.

* *Mystery*: Greek (Mysterion) ||| Latin (Mysterium) ||| Hebrew (Sôd)

.....It is not something that cannot be understood, but something that can only be understood because God has revealed it.

* *Godliness*: Greek (Eusebeia) ||| Latin (Pietas) ||| Hebrew (Hasidut / Yirah)

.....Godliness is the alignment of heart and actions with the will of God, motivated by reverent love.

...In the Old Testament, this refers to all nations other than Israel.

..... Glory is the visible manifestation of God's invisible nature. It is both His "weight" (absolute importance) and His "splendor" (dazzling beauty).

💥The mystery of our devotion to You, our submission to You, our love for You is profound.

God the Creator manifested Himself on earth. He came through the Holy Spirit via a virgin, without the involvement of a man.

He came without sin, His holiness attested.

The angels did not understand this act.

 This great God took on human nature, sacrificed himself for us on the cross, died, and rose again.

He took upon himself all our sins and our condemnations.

👆🏽👆🏽 The gospel, the message of God who came to save us, is spreading throughout the world and making many believers who become disciples, disciples who in turn spread the gospel.

This act for us, Lord (your obedience unto the cross, your death and resurrection), has exalted you supremely.

You are glorious, our God.
