Here the Lord is speaking to a king (King Asa) who did not rely on him but trusted in a man (the king of Syria).

[7] At that time, Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him, "Because you relied on the king of Syria and did not rely on the Lord your God, the army of the king of Syria has escaped from you. [8] Were not the Ethiopians and the Libyans a great army, with chariots and many horsemen? And yet, because you relied on him, the Lord has delivered them into your hand.

Father, we want to have our hearts fixed on you without reservation.

No, we do not want to look elsewhere.

No, we do not want to have other people as our rock.

No, we do not want anyone's help unless you are in it.

 💥We do not want to show by our actions that we do not trust You or that we do not see You as capable of helping us.

You are the one who sustains us.

You are our Rock.

We reject impatience and lack of trust in You.

We ask Your forgiveness for past mistakes.

We want to submit all our plans to You. Yes, Be the Master.
