Forgive us for our follies, we beg you.

Jesus Christ, today we want to take the time to say thank you.

Thank you for everything.

You paid a great price. 🙏🏻❤‍🔥

[23] "But what evil has he done?" asked the governor. They shouted even more loudly, "Crucify him!" [24] When Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing but that the uproar was increasing, he took water, washed his hands in the presence of the crowd, and said, "I am innocent of the blood of this righteous man. That is your business." [25] And all the people answered, “His blood be on us and on our children!” [26] Then Pilate released Barabbas to them; and after scourging Jesus, he handed him over to be crucified. [27] The governor’s soldiers led Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole crowd around him. [28] They stripped him of his garments and put a scarlet robe on him. [29] They twisted a crown of thorns and put it on his head. They put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling down before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” [30] They spat on him, took the reed, and struck him on the head. [31] After mocking him, they took the robe off him, put his own clothes on him, and led him away to crucify him. [32] And when they were gone out, they found a man from Cyrene named Simon, and forced him to carry Jesus' cross. [33] And when they came to a place called Golgotha, which means "Place of the Skull," [34] they gave him vinegar mixed with gall to drink; but when he had tasted it, he would not drink. [35] And they crucified him, and divided his garments among them, casting lots. [36] And they sat down and guarded him. [37] And over his head was written the charge against him, saying, This is Jesus, the King of the Jews. [38] And with him were crucified two thieves, one on his right hand and one on his left. [39] Those who passed by mocked him and shook their heads, [40] saying, “You who destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!” [41] The chief priests, along with the teachers of the law and the elders, also mocked him, saying, [42] “He saved others, and he cannot save himself! If he is the King of Israel, let him come down now, and we will believe in him. [43] He trusted in God; let God now deliver him, if he loves him! For he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’” [44] The robbers who were crucified with him also mocked him in the same way. [45] From noon until three in the afternoon there was darkness over the whole land. [46] About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” (that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”) [47] Some of those standing by, when they heard this, were saying, “He is calling for Elijah.” [48] At once one of them ran and took a sponge, soaked it in vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave him a drink. [49] But the others said, “Leave it alone, let us see whether Elijah will come to save him.” *[50] Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and gave up his spirit. [51] And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, [52] and the tombs were opened, and the bodies of many saints who had fallen asleep were raised. [53] And they came out of the tombs and entered the holy city after Jesus had risen, and appeared to many people. [54] When the officer and those with him, guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and what had happened, they were greatly terrified, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God.”*
