[3] Beautiful is the hill, the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion; on the north side is the city of the great King. [4] God is known in her palaces as a high refuge. [5] For behold, the kings had conspired: they only passed by together. [6] They looked on in astonishment; they were afraid and fled. [7] There trembling seized them, like the pain of a woman in labor. [8] They were driven away as by the east wind, which smashes the ships of Tarshish. [9] What we had heard, we have seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it forever. Selah. [10] O God, we meditate on your steadfast love in the midst of your temple. [11] Like your name, O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth; your right hand is full of justice.
